Trainini magazineLatest Issue: September 2014 Issue

Trainini Magazine is a German language, monthly Z scale magazine in PDF format and it’s free! Hard to beat that. Each issue link will open in a new window for easy reading.

Don’t worry if you don’t read German (but good for you if you do!) as the photos tell the real story in this publication. Holger Spaing is the man behind this wonderful Z scale magazine and we’d like to thank him for his dedication to Z scale. Once a year or so Trainini is published in an English language version so keep watching… and in the meantime enjoy Trainini Magazine!

Each PDF issue will open in a new browser window.
Each issue is approximately 4 to 6 MB.

I am looking for an article described in the July 2010 Railroad Model Craftsman containing instructions for making a home made static grass applicator. Do you still have that how-to article available to download or read?

    • John

      Hi Walter,

Unfortunately this article, along with our other previous pieces, was part of the previous website and was removed when this new site went live. The Grassinator article will be coming back with updated text and photos of the currently available negative ion generator.

How can I get the past numbers of Trainini? March, February and January links are broken.

    • John

      Hi Alexandre,

Thanks for pointing this out to me. I see that these issues have been removed by the folks over at Trainini Magazine. I’ve just contacted them now to see if we can get them back!

      Stay tuned…

    Hi Alexandre,

On my server are offered always the two most actual issues of Trainini. The older issues are saved in a free Trainini Archive offered by the Z-Freunde International (ZFI, Z-Friends International), the association which offers the German language Z scale forum.

Have to look for the Trainini logo an to click onto the part with the ZFI circle logo (the rest of the jpg is linked to the Trainini site).

I will send John a graphic file. Perhaps he wants to use it to visualize this on his site.

    Best wishes from Germany,
